Rosacea

Spider veins or broken capillaries on the face, especially on the nose and cheeks, can be an unpleasant sight. And as we become older, their number will increase.

Lasers emit high-energy light (540-950 nm) that is harmlessly passed through the skin and is absorbed by the red blood cells in the vein, sealing it and causing the vein to disappear in a few weeks.

Practical

  • The treatment lasts about 20 minutes. In general, 2 to 3 treatments will be necessary.

  • Preparation: It is extremely important not to stimulate your pigment. In other words: no sun or solarium during the 3 weeks before the treatment. No self-sun or bronzing lotion either!

  • After the treatment you may notice a slight redness or a slight swelling, especially around the eyes. This usually lasts only a few hours, but it in some cases it may keep on till 2 days after the treatment. You may use make-up.

  • Better avoid extreme sports, hot baths and sauna the first days.
