Labiaplasty

A problem that is often kept private, yet affects many women, is having labia minora that are too large or protrude too far beyond the labia majora. This can be genetically determined or become more pronounced after pregnancy. You can have it corrected for aesthetic reasons, or if it causes discomfort during sex or sports such as horseback riding and cycling.

The procedure

After a soothing injection and local anesthesia, the surgeon will mark the excess skin and remove the excess tissue. The incision is closed with dissolvable sutures so that no stitches need to be removed afterward.

The surgery takes about an hour.

After the procedure

While you rest in a comfortable chair, we cool the treated area to minimize swelling.

You will receive a letter with advice to speed up recovery and you will be allowed to go home, but you are not allowed to drive yourself.

You will receive an appointment for a check-up after 1 week.

The result

After 2 weeks, the stitches will have dissolved, and a few weeks later, the scars will no longer be visible.
