Double chin liposculpture
As we age, fat can accumulate around the double chin. This is often a family 'inheritance'.
Through millimeter-small incisions, the fat is suctioned out using special cannulas. The procedure takes about 45 minutes.
After 4 to 6 weeks you will begin to see the results, though some firmness may still be noticeable. The minimal scars will gradually fade from a pink line to a fine white line that is barely visible, if at all. After about 6 months the final results will be visible.

The treatment is performed under local anesthesia with a sedative injection or under general anesthesia.

If the procedure was performed under local anesthesia, you may rest for a while in a recliner while we apply a cold compress. Afterward, you may go home (with your driver!).

After a procedure under general anesthesia, you will first go to the recovery room and then to your room. After you have eaten and drunk something, you may go home. With your driver!

You will be given a compression mask to wear day and night for 1 week. The mask will not only support the skin but also help it to shrink.

You will receive a letter with advice to heal as well and as quickly as possible. You will be given an appointment to have the stitches removed after a week.

You will notice some slight swelling and possibly some bruising for a few days.

You may wear make-up again the day after the stitches have been removed.
